Long Time Passed

One hundred anything is a lot; one hundred years is awe-inspiring. Even more awe-inspiring is what some people do in one hundred years and the ripples in the pond they leave as a legacy.

Jimmy Carter never grifted a children's cancer fund, sold anyone a Bible, or relentlessly marketed himself to anyone.

“In a few days, I will lay down my official responsibilities in this office, to take up once more the only title in our democracy superior to that of President, the title of citizen.”- President Jimmy Carter, Farewell Address., January 14, 1981.

After his Presidency, he devoted his life, as he had before his election as the 39th President of the United States, to helping others. Today we say our final farewell to the Man from Plains, Georgia.

Please consider donating in his memory to Habitat for Humanity. Rest in Power.
