One of my favorite expressions is "All ducks are birds, but not all birds are ducks." In the interest of full disclosure, I make it a point to NEVER say it in front of ducks. I love its implied confusion of cause and effect.
Sort of like another one, "Cheer up! Things could get worse. So I did cheer up, and things got worse."
That may not be how that works out all the time.
So let a smile be your umbrella, especially if you like to gargle snow and rain.
