Is Mumpsimus Fatal?

Mumpsimus - a stubborn person who insists on making an error in spite of being shown that it is wrong.

And all that's happened in the blowback from #SharpieGate is that those of us who already thought our nation's president was a mendacious, manipulative, no-talent grifter have even more proof of our convictions.
