Sometimes I worry if those who established and built our nation could return and see what we have made of their gift to us, they'd take it all back. We've gone from the hopeful promise of the Shining City on the Hill to Stranger Danger!
I know what you're thinking: "he's another SJW who blames Trump for everything." Yes and no. Yes to the former but Pantload45 is the result of who we have become and certainly not the precipitant of it (He's too lazy and self-absorbed to ever set the mark, but is a champion at fudging it).
Whether your forebearers arrived on the Mayflower, or in chains as slaves in the hold of a ship or just last week in a moving van, we have always been a nation of immigrants even as each succeeding generation ignored and mistreated the indigenous people whose land we took.
When you have the bounty and blessings we have as a nation, you don't build a wall to hoard it but rather a table upon which to share it.
